Acting as an intermediary to broker the deal, football agent Yahia Aly speaks to KingFut about the details of Mohamed Elneny’s transfer to Arsenal Football Club.
Egypt international Mohamed Elneny officially sealed his transfer to North London giants Arsenal earlier on Thursday; this saga was far from an easy one to conclude.
Yahia Aly, an intermediary to broker the deal, and co. had spent plenty of time and effort to get the deal over the line. It didn’t all happen in one month, however, as there had been contact for quite some time now. “Arsenal initially started their contact around eight months ago,” Aly exclusively told KingFut.
Surely, after gaining recognition in this season’s UEFA Europa League campaign with his impressive performances for FC Basel, other top clubs came in for the Egyptian defensive midfielder. “I can not confirm which clubs were interested, but I can tell you that there was contact from Germany’s Bundesliga and France’s Ligue 1,” Yahia Aly revealed.
It is interesting to note that Arsenal were prepared for the event that the transfer may take long to finalise and had sent their strength and conditioning coach Sam Wilson to keep the 23-year-old in shape. “Yes, Arsenal sent Sam Wilson around 10 days ago to keep Elneny fit ahead of his signing,” Yahia said.
It was widely reported that Elneny’s transfer fee cost Arsenal £7 million, but KingFut.com revealed on Thursday that it was not the case, to which Yahia confirmed: “I assure you, the fee is much higher than that what’s reported.”
“I would prefer to have my players back from their injuries. [Danny] Welbeck is two to three weeks away and I am confident I will not find a better player than Welbeck on the market.”
Arsenal are set to add to their scouting staff having pinched Leicester’s head of technical scouting, Ben Wrigglesworth. He’s been credited with finding gems from Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante.
I want to leave, even on loan. I can’t stay at Arsenal.”
"I came back for training and I was told I would not be playing," Eboue was quoted as saying in The Sun.
"The president told the manager at the time not to pick me. The way I was treated was very unfair. We are looking for options and I would love to come back to Arsenal."

Sky in Germany: Arsenal in talks to sign Borussia Monchengladbach's Granit Xhaka for £34m. Swiss midfielder cost £6.5m from Basel in 2012
@classarsenal yes, it's quite advanced but not done and not at the fee mentioned.
Also, even though I feel we need to look at other issues before signing players, have been told we are very active & will be spending big.
A big meeting took place earlier this week at Arsenal and ALL the top brass were present. I'm a sceptic but it does sound promising.
Unless we fail to make top 4, Wenger will be in charge next season. Walcott/Ox may go & we're keen on Mahrez. Xhaka deal close.
Hear the Xhaka deal, if completed, is to be around £24m. Told today it's pretty close.
